With the beginning of Fall comes a definite transition…a tangible change of pace that has an unmatched coziness and warmth to it. As F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote: “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the Fall.” This year, there is a pull towards even more of that coziness. We hope to be settling down after a year and a half of uncertainty with Covid and political + social unrest. But there is still angst and worry; things are not back to what we knew as normal. And those feelings show up very clearly in the interior design trends for the season.
Deep jewel tones are taking center stage this Fall. Holiday decor is looking less traditional and more in tune with your hom'e’s current, homey vibe. (You can certainly still pull out the orange and black pumpkins, but also add some ivory velvet pumpkins, clay-toned dried florals, and vintage textiles.) My top colors for the season are burgundy and terra cotta, with the traditional black and gold accents. Here are some great ways to add some beautiful fall-themed decor into your home using these gorgeous tones. Included below are some splurge and budget finds, items from larger chain stores and a few of my favorite small businesses, and both new + vintage pieces!
